Millet: 12% of the acreage still to be harvested

KYIV/DALIAN. Harvesting in Ukraine is behind last year's levels. In China, millet prices remain stable as weak export demand and high inventories are slowing down the market.

Several hectares still unharvested

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture, many harvests in Ukraine were still not fully completed by the end of November. Nationwide, farmers had harvested 89% of the planned area, bringing in a total of around 52.581 million mt of agricultural products. Millet is one of these products. So far, 62,100 mt of millet have been produced on 35,800 ha, meaning that only 88% of the acreage has been harvested. The average yield is 1.74 mt/ha.
