Millet: Ukraine expects about 100,000 mt

BEIJING/KYIV. There is a lack of demand in the Chinese millet market. Meanwhile, the harvest in Ukraine is entering its final phase, with 93% of the acreage already harvested.

According to market players, the Chinese millet market is characterised by low trading activity, and demand from both traders and processors leaves much to be desired. At the same time, the new crop is bringing enough goods to the market, so traders expect prices to fall. Hulled millet in conventional quality is currently priced at USD 1,240/mt FOB Dalian, while prices for organic millet are estimated at around USD 1,310/mt FOB Dalian.
