Oil Meals: Figures shows exports increases year by year

Oil meals exports up 78% in April-August: SEA

Mumbai: Oil meals exports in the first five months of the financial year 2017-18, from the country, increased 78% to 864,818 tonnes in April-August, which was 485,220 tonnes in the same period a year ago. This information was given by the Solvent Extractors Association of India (SEA).

According to the SEA, during the year 2017, total export of 139,568 tonnes of oil meal was made from the country whereas during August 2016, the export was 71,879 tonnes. Exports of 81,079 tonnes of soymeals from India, export of rapeseed meal in August 2017, 50,649 tonnes, export of Ricebran Meals is 6,500 tonnes. Exports of groundnut meals were 208 tonnes. The export of castor mills was 1,132 tonnes, which was 5,134 tonnes in July.

According to the Association, soymeal exports from the country in April-August 2017 were 381,125 tonnes, 216,258 tonnes of rapeseed meal and 110,875 tonnes of Ricebran meals . Explain that in April-August 2016, export of soymeal from the country was 63,510 tonnes, 97,457 tonnes of rapeseed meal, 143,873 tonnes of ricebron mills, 512 tonnes of groundnut meals and export of castor seed mills was 179,868 tonnes.

According to the SEA, in April-August 2017, export of 483,581 tonnes from Kandla port, 146,655 tonnes from Mumbai / JNPT, 110090 tonnes from Kolkata port and 75,540 tonnes from Mundra port. During April-August 2017, the biggest importers of Indian mines were 60,674 tonnes, the rest of Europe 95,410 tonnes, Vietnam 123,121 tonnes, South Korea 288502 tonnes, Thailand 47674 tonnes and Myanmar 31,357 tonnes.
