Oil seeds up to date: A tricky business

FRANKFURT. Daily monitoring of the oil seed sector – the latest price developments.

 

The oilseed market is quiet, and prices are stable. Traders and processors are preparing for the new year. Their experience has, however, taught them to be cautious when it comes to price guestimates.

Flaxseed

Although the raw seed prices in Kazakhstan have increased to a level of 240-145 EUR/mt, the export prices have remained stable so far. It is currently difficult for the traders in Poland to tell in which way prices will develop next year. Experience has taught them not to totally trust the claims of suppliers in Kazakhstan.
