CHICAGO/HAMBURG. As the market is waiting for the new WASDE report to be issued on Friday soybean futures are trading higher in Chicago. Meanwhile. delays have been reported in Canada's canola harvest.

Cold spell and exports to China drive soybean market
The US soybean market has shown a remarkable rise of nearly 9% over the last three weeks. Exports to China have, meanwhile, given the market a boost. Shipments to China took place five days in a row as the USDA export reports show. A cold spell in parts of the Midwest provided an additional lift. Temperatures dropped below freezing in parts of North Dakota and Minnesota on Wednesday as frost damages may have occurred.
