FRANKFURT. Daily monitoring of the oil seed sector, comparing today’s prices with yesterday’s prices.

Due to the expected decline in production the prices for blue poppy seeds in the Czech Republic have been on the rise over the last two weeks. Now the first offers are also available in Turkey. With blue poppy seeds trading for 3.70 EUR/kg CFR Hamburg prices are similar to the offers from the Czech Republic.

Traders in India are only providing limited offers for sesame seeds. They intend to wait until the new crop can be better assessed. Although floods and a decline in acreage have been reported in some regions, most market players do not expect significant declines in production. The harvest is set to start in 2-3 weeks.
