Oilseeds update: delays in sowing

FRANKFURT. Monitoring of the oilseed sector with day-to-day price comparisons.

The decline in farmgate prices for sunflower seeds is weighing on the prices for bakery kernels in Bulgaria. In India, the first sesame seed farmers have started sowing the summer crop. Adverse weather conditions have, however, prompted delays and many farmers rather prefer to wait and see. Acreage can currently not be assessed.
