Peanut market under pressure

The peanut market has been in a downward trend for five weeks now, which is expected to continue in the coming days. Various factors are currently causing considerable disruption to trade. A key influencing factor is the slowdown in purchasing by the Gujarat state government. So far, around 1.55 to 1.60 million mt of peanuts have been purchased, and government purchases are expected to continue until 15 January, as not all districts have been covered yet.
