Peanuts: favourable feed prices in Argentina

NEW DELHI/BUENOS AIRES. While sowing is being expanded in key Indian growing regions, Argentina is attracting buyers with favourable prices for feed peanuts. Export prices in India remain largely stable.

NAFED suspends sales

Prices on the Indian peanut market have been fluctuating within a narrow range for several weeks and have fallen by a nominal USD 10/mt compared with last week. Market experts predict this situation to continue for the next four to five weeks. The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) has temporarily suspended peanut sales, while the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation (NCCF) continues to offer its goods for sale in Uttar Pradesh.
