NEW DELHI/BUENOS AIRES. In India, peanut prices are declining slightly, whilst the outlook remains positive. In Argentina, the supply of available goods is limited, while the acreage in the US has shrunk significantly.

Limited supply and financing difficulties in Argentina

The Argentine peanut harvest, which began more than a month ago, has been affected by the weather to a greater extent than initially expected. Quality remains uncertain, particularly in light of last year’s experience, according to HT NUTS. As a result, the availability of size 38/42 peanuts for new contracts is limited.
