Pistachios: surprisingly good exports

TEHRAN. Exports have done surprisingly well for pistachios in Iran considering the disruptions prompted by the war with the USA. Disruptions are, however, impacting shipments. Prices have started to shift.

Mixed messages

With the Iran Pistachio Association (IPA) back online messages are a bit mixed concerning the impact of the war on the country’s export performance. Although IPA highlights that shipments have taken a considerable hit, the figures presented are not as bad as anticipated given the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, which is an important transit route, and the constant internet blackouts in recent months.
