GAZIANTEP. Local prices have reached an all-time high for pistachio kernels in Turkey. Frost has occurred in Gaziantep. New crop estimates are circulating.

Local prices at all-time high in Turkey

Export demand has picked up in Turkey as shipments are disrupted in Iran. Enquiries have increased in all regions. Even before the war large volumes from Iran arrived in the free zones of Turkey and in local markets. Another important aspect in the export market is that demand has shifted towards paste rather than kernels. Shipments of paste are on the rise, especially to the Middle East.
