MANISA. Growers in Turkey are still selling large volumes to the TMO and sultana production is in full swing.

Harvest completed by half

Sultana production is still in full swing in Turkey. Around half of dried fruit production is said to have been completed so far. Warm temperatures ranging at 36-38C are good for drying, but rain has been forecast this week and growers are hurrying to take the grapes laid out for drying away from the open fields. Turkey's raisin and sultana production is offcially estimated at 271,000 mt.
