MANISA. Trading activity is rather sluggish this week as there are only isolated spot enquiries. In addition, the Turkish currency is quite unpredictable this week.

Sharp decline in export figures

Turkish dried fruit exporters have shipped 56,695 mt of sultanas and raisins overseas since the start of the season, about 21% less than last year at this time. Weekly exports last reached 5,667 mt, compared to 7,224 mt in the same week last year.
