BEIJING. Although demand for pumpkin kernels is rather subdued at present, traders are speculating about the development prices will take in the next few weeks. High freight charges still pose an enormous challenge. Some exporters in China have started to adapt their prices, but buyers in Europe may take advantage of the current market situation.

Sesame seeds: supplies of hulled seeds may run low
NEW-DELHI/MAPUTO. Cyclone Tauktae, which hit India two weeks ago, is estimated to have only damaged around 10% of the sesame seed crop. Market players had initially reckoned with more extensive damages. Production prospects are, in fact, highly encouraging.
