DALIAN. The sales figures for Chinese pumpkin seeds have never been worse than this year. Growers have been forced to make a difficult decision.

 

Growers switch to wheat and soy
Buyers will have to adjust to rising prices for Chinese pumpkin kernels. There are large quantities of still available on the Chinese market, and poor demand as well as the low prices this season have compelled farmers to switch to other agricultural commodities. This will result in a significant decrease in acreage. Market players are talking about a drop of 40%.
