BEIJING. Traders and speculators have nearly purchased all available raw pumpkin kernel supplies. Prices are simply too high to attract buyers.

Lack of demand adds pressure to market

Growers in China only have limited supplies at their disposal. Issue is that traders and speculators have bought up most seeds. This stalemate cannot be broken for the time being. Although prices are highly unattractive for most buyers, suppliers refuse to go down in price. Demand for Shine Skin kernels is rather subdued, in particular for grade AA.
