Pumpkin seeds: Suppliers facing financial shortages

DALIAN. For purchasers of organic Chinese pumpkin seeds, it might currently be worth inquiring for the product at source. Organic pumpkin seeds and GWS are the cheapest they have been for months.

 

Organic GWS cheaper than in 2016

Price differences of more than 600 USD/mt between individual pumpkin seed suppliers have not been uncommon this season. Traditional pumpkin seeds, shine skin and GWS are only 200 USD/mt more expensive than they were at the same time last year. Purchasers have already witnesses a difference of 850 USD/mt.

This negative trend is not just limited to the traditional pumpkin seed sector. Organic pumpkin seeds, GWS, Grade A are currently available from 2,650 USD/mt CFR Hamburg, meaning prices are a staggering 600 USD
