PEKING. Chinese suppliers report good demand and low availability of organic pumpkin seeds. There is also a shortage of some conventional varieties.

Sufficient supplies of Grade AA kernels

The pumpkin seed factories are back to producing and the export business has started again as well. Some market players report good demand, especially from Europe, the USA and Asia. Buyers are very interested in shine skins, grade A and GWS kernels and the traders are making every effort to meet all enquiries. In contrast, the supplies of grade AA kernels are adequate. There is, however, a shortage of organic goods, which, according to market players, are hardly available at present.
