Sesame seeds: Nominal price corrections despite tender

NEW DELHI. The sesame seed tender from South Korea, which is to be declared next week, has slowed down the price increase in India somewhat. This should, however, only be a temporary development.

Prices 400 USD/mt higher than last year

Contrary to the rising trend of the recent weeks, the market has only witnessed nominal fluctuations over the last few days. As a rule, the prices generally tend to decline in the days before a new tender is declared in order to generate attractive offers. Things are, however, different this time as limited supplies causing prices to remain at a similar level as last week.
