Sesame seeds: Pakistan secures tender participation

NEW DELHI/SEOUL. After the Diwali festival, the Indian market remained relatively quiet this week. The new sesame seed tender from South Korea provided a change.

Only 600 mt of sesame seeds from India

The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation had announced a new tender for this week, through which a total of 3,000 mt of standard quality sesame seeds were to be purchased. The tender took place in the middle of this week and Pakistani exporters were the clear winners. They were awarded the contract for 1,200 mt of sesame seeds, the suppliers' bid prices were USD 1,741-1,747/mt CFR Busan.
