NEW DELHI. Unfavourable weather conditions are causing further price corrections in the Indian sesame seed market. Gujarat is particularly affected, but market players are worried about the whole crop. A trend reversal can be seen in sesame seed imports to Germany.

Rainfall has consequences

Last week, it was announced that South Korea would announce a new sesame seed tender to make up for the deficit of the last tender. An upcoming tender usually causes market prices in the Indian sesame seed market to decline temporarily.
