NEW DELHI. The official tender result has been announced, thereby reflecting the current difficult market situation. There is a clear winner.

Nigeria wins most bids

This winner is Nigeria. The country will ship a total of 3,900 mt to South Korea. India ranks second with a total of 2,700 mt and Niger ranks third with 1,500 mt. The price range for sesame seeds in premium P1 quality is 1,866-1,881 USD/mt and for sesame seeds in normal P2 quality is 1,818-1,849 USD/mt. Korea purchased 10,600 mt, which is less than the 12,000 mt initially tendered. Korea had initially intended to purchase 8,000 mt in P2 quality. However, a price cut was made at 1.850 USD/mt. Bids at or above this price were not considered.
