Soya: better market for exports of animal feed

Soya Meal export increased more than 200 percent:

The export of soya meal and made products has increased by 237 percent in July 2017 i.e. 98,000 tonnes in July. In July 2016, the export of these products from the country was at 29,000 tonnes. According to the Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA), Indore-based organization of processors, the figure of export of Soya Meal and made products from the country during April-July was 0.469 million tonnes in the current financial year, which was 0.119 million tons exports earlier, about 294 percent increase in export of quantity.

In the oil marketing year (October 2016 to September 2017), the export of soya Meal and made products of the country rose by 373% to 1.646 million tonnes during the October-July period. During the same period of last oil marketing year, the export of these products from the country was at 0348 million tonnes. Soya is a product which is left after processing soybean oil in processing units. This product is a big source of protein. With this food products such as soya flour and soya big, animal feed and chicken grains are also prepared.

In the remaining two months of monsoon, there will be 'normal' rainfall. This was stated by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday. According to the IMD, the remaining two months of monsoon season (August and September) are estimated to be 100 percent long-term average (LPA), which can increase by 8 percent. It said that 94 to 104 per cent rainfall in LPA is considered to be 'normal'. The Meteorological Department said that in August, 99 percent LPA is estimated. IMD has projected this year's general monsoon. However, between June 1 and August 7, a deficit of three percent has been recorded in the rain, after which there is a drought like situation in many parts of the country. Which will leads for better market for exports of animal feed.
