FRANKFURT. First signs of soybeans grown as useful plants can be dated back to between 1,700-1,100 BC.
Wild soy seeds were already used 7,000 BC. Today, the soybean has multiple purposes thanks to its high content of oil and protein (37% and 20%), serving as feed- and foodstuff, soy oil, soy meal, tofu, soymilk, soy sauce, soy yogurt and many more.
