Cumin

After cumin prices made a significant jump last week, the expected downward trend has now set in. There are mixed sentiments in the market at the moment as many factors are affecting the trade. Spice manufacturers have been stocking up with purchases in Rajasthan, however, most farmers there in the northern districts have decided against cumin cultivation as weather conditions have been much better for mustard seed, for example. Cumin yields are also not yet clear because it is one of the most sensitive crops and is strongly affected by moisture levels. Crops
