After the continuous declines of the last few weeks, prices on the Indian cumin market have finally recorded a slight increase. However, most traders expect this phenomenon to be short-lived as there is little to suggest further price increases. Arrivals of the new crop are high and they are meeting low domestic and export demand. "A decline in prices is the only way to boost trade," says an Indian trader.
