A breather for raw sunflower seed kernels
The Bulgarian sunflower seed kernel crop 2016 is as good as done. Most recent reports state that 1.69 million mt of sunflower seed kernels were harvested by the end of October. The new crop combined with carry-overs of 540,000 mt makes a supply of about 2.23 million mt available for the season 2016/17. Since no larger exports were registered in the ports in the last week, prices are stable at 348 EUR/mt CPT Varna with a slight downward tendency, contrary to forecasts of two weeks ago.
