SOFIA. In Bulgaria, the prices continue to rise. The potential demand from China remains the big unknown factor for the further price development.

 

The farmers want more

Market players report that the farmers currently have little interest to sell. Although supplies suffice, they are now trying to increase their profits to compensate for last year's low prices. This has driven up farmgate prices since the beginning of the year. Experts, however, point out that this is by no means reflected in un development of prices for hulled sunflower kernels.
