Sunflower seeds: Carriers working at full capacity

SOFIA. Concerns over forecasted rains have accelerated the harvest in Bulgaria. According to reports, 42% of the harvested have been completed so far and the average yield is expected to be around 21% higher than last year.

 

Bulgaria supplying from 570 EUR/mt FCA
The expected quality and volume crop remain good, with farmgate prices still at the same level as last week. Black in shells, 96% purity, are officially listed at 294 EUR/mt CPT Varna. Despite good demand, there is an abundant supply of bakery kernels. Only the capacities for prompt deliveries are gradually becoming scarce, as carriers are working to capacity.
