Sunflower seeds: Contradicting estimates

SOFIA. Although the suppliers are working at full capacity, the prices have come under pressure. The present production estimates for Eastern Europe are responsible.

 

Differing estimates

The crop in Bulgaria was completed much later than last year. This does, however, not not deter market observers and analysts from outperforming each other in their production estimates for Bulgaria.

Coceral is even comparatively modest with estimates ranging at 2.01 million mt. This value is based on an estimated acreage of 732,000 ha and a yield of 2.75 mt/ha.
