SOFIA. The sunflowers in Bulgaria are developing well. However, it remains to be seen which impact the warm temperatures will have over the next few days.

Buyers and sellers prefer to wait

Unlike other agricultural commodities, sunflowers are not as susceptible to heat and drought and are still in good condition in Bulgaria. Prices remain firm. Buyers and sellers alike are waiting for them to move in the direction they want.

Black in shells, 96% purity, are trading firm at 332 EUR/mt CPT Varna and hulled bakery kernels for prompt delivery are trading for 590-600 EUR/mt FCA Bulgaria. Market players expect prices to rise when demand revives. The prices for the new crop are range bound at 570-590 EUR/kg FCA Bulga
