SOFIA. The market continues to rise in Bulgaria. Some suppliers are demanding extortionate prices.

Cheaper rates in Moldova

High demand is driving up prices in Bulgaria. Black in-shells are trading around EUR 5 per metric tonne higher than last week at EUR 368 per metric tonne CPT Varna. Around 30,000 metric tonnes of sunflower seeds are waiting to be shipped in the port.

Hardly any new contracts are being sold for sunflower kernels. Some buyers are, however, calling up shipments for existing contracts rather quickly. Suppliers, who tried to renegotiate the prices agreed in their contracts, have done so in vain. Some are now offering bakery kernels for pr
