SOFIA. It is well-nigh impossible to obtain unhulled sunflower seeds in Bulgaria. Some suppliers in Bulgaria cannot even provide any offers.

 

The weather is decisive

Rain and cooler temperatures are forecasted for the next two weeks, which should benefit sowing. Market players were initially concerned that the lack of precipitation could damage render it impossible for the seeds to take roots and grow.

Traders have abundant supplies

Supplies of raw seeds are limited in Bulgaria. Reports state that the growers are sold out. Turkey and other countries as well as the local oil mills have purchased large quantities of unhulled seeds. Although big traders appear
