Sunflower seeds: Prices below last year’s level

SOFIA. Rain has prompted the market in Bulgaria to relax. Offers for prompt deliveries are stable.

 

The crop is benefiting from precipitation
The rains over the last few weeks has been good for the plants and will benefit production. So much so that prices for the new crop have gone down a little this week. Coceral, the European association for agricultural trading, has estimated production at 1.77 million mt for 2018 in its June report. Compared to last year, this would represent a limited decrease of 4.1%.
