Sunflower seeds: Traders speculate on smaller crop

SOFIA. Grow wheat was certainly more attractive for the farmers in Bulgaria than growing sunflower seeds. Some traders therefore speculate that this year the farmers will give preference to cereals and grow fewer sunflower seeds.

Prices are stable to rising

After climbing to more than 306 EUR/mt CPT Varna at the end of last week, the prices for black in shells have lost ground again this week. Prices are presently back at 304 EUR/mt CPT Varna. The prices on offer for bakery kernels still vary greatly between 620 EUR/mt and 650 EUR/mt DDP Germany.
