SOFIA. The harvest season has started in Bulgaria and traders are looking for buyers in a bid to set their prices. There certainly is movement in the market.

 

Traders reckon with empty warehouses

The harvest season is under way in Bulgaria, with the yields and oil content of the seeds thus far being satisfactory. However, an exact assessment can only be made once the harvest has progressed further. Although neither producers are under pressure to sell their seeds quickly nor buyers are in a great hurry to make their purchases, the situation could change as soon as the new contract season begins in mid-September.

Since their warehouses are empty the processors will eventually have to buy new seeds. I
