Walnuts: packers turn down enquiries

SACRAMENTO/CHIȘINĂU. California Walnuts’ recently issued Monthly Management Report for November indicates a clear rise in shipments to the US and overseas this season. US production estimates have been revised. Prices have, in addition, notably shifted in Moldova.

Rise in exports to Europe

Shipments to the US and overseas are on the rise this Turkey is the single most important export market for the US. Shipments of shelled and in-shelled walnuts to Turkey have risen by as much as 40% to 27.697 metric tonnes since the start of the season. Although the US shipments to the Middle East have declined by nearly 9%, Turkey is most certainly gaining in importance in the region.
