Activity in Azerbaijani local market increasing day-by-day. Close to the start of new crop, farmers leave their expectations of better price and started to sell their goods to processors. To remind you Azerbaijan still has around 5 000 MT in-shell hazelnuts for sale.

Activity in Azerbaijani local market increasing day-by-day. Close to the start of new crop, farmers leave their expectations of better price and started to sell their goods to processors. To remind you Azerbaijan still has around 5 000 MT in-shell hazelnuts for sale.

Meantime, in order to control and improve the quality of goods produced in Azerbaijan, established State Food Safety Agency (AQTA). Agency will be in charge of controlling the quality of hazelnut kernels for Export as well. For this reason has been announced opening of new state accredited laboratory in Gabala city.

Prices in local market are still stable but news from Turkey giving signals of possible rise close to the end of the month, due presidential and parliamentary elections on 24.06.2018. To remind you, TMO (Turkish Grain Board) has revised the previous offer of hazelnuts in-shell from 11,5 TRY/kg to 12,5 TRY/kg for Levant Quality and from 12,5 TRY/kg to 13,5 TRY/kg for Giresun Quality.

 

Prices:            

11-13 mm - 4,85 €/kg DAP Europe,              

13-15 mm - 5,25 €/kg DAP Europe.
