FRANKFURT / KIEV. Despite the heat, German apple growers started harvesting a few days earlier this year and Ukrainian exporters are seeing strong export growth.

Strong export plus for Ukrainian apples
In the 2017/18 season, Ukrainian exporters delivered more fresh apples abroad than in the last five years. 40,900 mt were completed during this period, in the 2016/17 season it was only 12,782 mt. Alone the deliveries to EU countries such as Austria, Hungary and Sweden were just below the total volume of exports in 2016/17 at 11,633 mt.
