Buckwheat: Germany increases imports by almost 25%

BEIJING. In the Chinese buckwheat market, the development of demand is of great importance, especially in the domestic market. Meanwhile, the latest import data to Germany show that imports increased by almost a quarter last year.

Sporadic imports from Russia

In the Chinese market, buckwheat prices have already been moving at a similar level for a few weeks, with only slight fluctuations. Before the Chinese New Year, prices had increased, but these adjustments have since been reversed. Only organic buckwheat continued to trend a little higher. Raw material supplies continue to run low and farmers are reluctant to sell their stocks, while traders would like to replenish theirs.
