Cashews: encouraging export figures

HANOI. Vietnamese producers can be pleased about high demand and very good exports. However, there are considerable differences in prices.

Prices vary significantly

The Vietnamese Ministry of Processing and Market Development published encouraging export figures in its latest report. According to the report, a total of 152,000 mt of cashews worth USD 894 million were shipped overseas in the first four months of the year, representing an 8.6% increase in volume compared to the same period last year, but at the same time a 7.4% drop in value. In April alone, exports amounted to 40,000 mt. The most important export destination remains the USA, which claims 27% of exports, followed by the EU with 20%
