HANOI. According to the November report of the INC, there are noticeable increases in production in many important growing countries such as Vietnam. For Nigeria, however, the outlook is anything but promising.

Sufficient stocks

In its latest November report, the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC) announces updated production estimates for cashews. Overall, the supply of RCN remains satisfactory, due in part to very good crops for the 2019/2020 season in Vietnam (375,000 mt) and Cambodia (210,000 mt). Both countries show further increases in production in the 2020/2021 season; with an increase of 20% and 19% respectively, the current estimates for Vietnam are 450,000 mt and for Cambodia 250,000 mt.
