As prices fluctuate a lot depending on weather conditions in Paraguay and Bolivia, the market is closely watching out for frost events with the new crop expected to start arriving. As CBI Europe reports cold weather impacted yields and prompted indicative import prices to jump to EUR 3,000/mt (USD 3,428/mt) for conventional chia seeds and to nearly EUR 4,000/mt (USD 4,570/mt) for organic seeds in 2025. This year, another dynamic is also shaping pricing in Europe.
