Earlier sowing aims to protect against frost

Eastern Paraguay is generally the most vulnerable to potential frost in June. For this reason, growers here begin sowing chia seeds as early as February to give the plants a head start in their development, ensuring they have already overcome the particularly critical phase by the time the frost period sets in.
