EU imports still high

EU imports may have slumped by 27% in the first two and a half months of the current marketing year, yet it should be noted that last year’s volume of 32,947 mt was the second highest on record. Current volumes, in fact, show normal fluctuations given that they exceed the 17,394 mt recorded in the same period in 2022/2023 and the 20,799 mt recorded in 2021/2022. In terms of value imports may range 31% lower than last year’s EUR 39 million (USD 4 million) at EUR 27 million (USD 30 million), yet this still is the second highest amount
