Chickpea industry is booming

The Indian chickpea industry is on the upswing, according to recent data. Exports are expected to have doubled in the 2022/23 season compared to the previous year, and demand from overseas continues to grow rapidly. Market experts forecast prices to rise in the next season; this boom benefits Indian agriculture as well as the country's economy, but also ensures that prices on the domestic market can hardly decline.
