NEW DELHI/OTTAWA. Chickpea prices in India have fallen slightly again, but this situation could change soon due to low stocks and global political tensions. In Canada, market players continue to wait impatiently for official production estimates.

Slight price declines

The Indian chickpea market saw a moderate price decline of USD 10/mt compared to last week. Market players cite falling demand in the growing states as the main reason for this. However, dwindling stocks and global political tensions could soon cause prices to rise again.
