MALATYA. The Turkish dried apricot markets remain quiet, and demand remains moderate. At the same time, exports have been above last year’s level since the start of the season. The focus remains on how exports develop in September.

Stagnation and weak demand

In Malatya, market stagnation persists, and exports in September have so far fallen short of expectations. Market players continue to attribute this to unstable price trends. Commodity prices have declined slightly, whilst export prices have remained at last week’s level. At the same time, demand remains weak.
