Dried apricots: first prices issued

MALATYA. Although the raw material prices have been issued for Turkey's new dried apricot crop, patience is required regarding export prices. Prospects could be better.

Only raw material prices available

Official forecasts predict high temperatures of 21-23C (70-73F) at night and of 37-39C (99-102F) throughout the day in Malatya this week. This is very favourable for drying. Fresh apricot harvesting and exporting is still in full swing.

While the raw material prices for dried apricots have more or less been determined, export prices are not yet circulating. As fresh apricots are still been shipped, exporters prefer to wait for a while. The raw material prices for dried apricots (3,000 ppm) from the new crop are as follows:
